The Association of Chartered Chartered Accountants has published a report explore the post-pandemic role of educational technology, or edtech, identify tips and trends for users.

Jointly developed with online course provider edX, the report highlights how edtech enables studying anytime, anywhere, and how flexibility has become the most valuable attribute of distance learning. . The report also identified six edtech trends for educators, including small videos, embedded learning, AI-based learning and assessment, micro-certificates, gamification, simulation, and augmented realities. or virtual, such as the metaverse.

While great educational partners and providers have managed to put resources into a learning platform, others have found alternatives such as short accounting lessons, open-source textbooks, and more. whether they use e-books or digital content.

However, the study also identified barriers to the widespread dissemination of edtech in the future, such as the digital divide, which refers to the gap in access to reliable internet connection, power and environments conducive to learning. According to the Pew Charitable Trust, 21 million Americans lacked adequate internet access in 2019, and 27% resided in rural areas. The report concludes with policy recommendations from beginners and educators to governments seeking to improve engagement in edtech.
