Robert F. Weinman passed away peacefully at his residence in Huntingdon Valley on Saturday September 03, 2022. He was 95 years old. Bob was a former resident of Philadelphia, Warminster, Richboro and Churchville.

Bob was born and raised in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia, the youngest of five sons of Harry J., Sr. and Elizabeth (Settle) Weinman. He was a 1945 graduate of Northeast Catholic High School and after graduation he enlisted to serve his country in the US Army during World War II. While serving, he graduated from the US Army Finance School and in 1951 from LaSalle University (College) with a BS in accounting. Bob completed graduate studies at Temple University and went on to earn professional degrees as a Chartered Accountant, Fraud Examiner and Government Financial Officer.

Bob maintained an accounting practice from 1961 to 1985 and during those years was also a professor of accounting at both LaSalle University and Delaware Valley College. Following his accounting practice and beginning in 1986, Bob worked as Assistant Chief Comptroller for Bucks County until his retirement in 1998.

Along with being a dedicated and devoted family man, Bob served his community and had many hobbies and interests, from trains to travel. He was founding president of the Southampton Lions Club, served as treasurer from 2000 to 2009, and has received both the Melvin Jones Award (dedicated humanitarian service) and the Lion of the Year Award (outstanding service and loyalty to Lionism). He started as a rower in the LaSalle Varsity crew team and later a member of the Malta Boat Club. Bob enjoyed and was extremely proud of his Lionel Standard Gauge model train display. He was a world traveler and proud to say he visited all 50 states! He has also traveled to Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. He rode the Chunnel train and the Orient Express across Europe, sailed the Yangtze River in China, and the Rhine and Danube from Amsterdam to Budapest.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brothers and their spouses, Harry J., Jr. (Ruth), Charles (Jeane), Joseph (Marie) and Francis (Jane); his wife, Carole A. (Rathfon); his children William and Michelle and his grandchildren Robert and Dr. Jamie Gairo (Anthony).

Bob is survived by his longtime partner Elizabeth “Betty” Costello; children, Linda Haskins (Stephen), Robert F., Jr. and Tracie; stepchildren, Beverly McKenny (Matthew) and William E. Loux, Jr. (Heather); grandchildren, Jillian Jaykoski (John), Kate Meadows (Kevin) and Kristen Leipert; step-grandchildren, Wayne and Samantha McKenny and Adrianna and Gabriel Loux; great-grandchildren, Addison Jaykoski, Paxton Weinman, James, Keeva, Elijah and Jackson Meadows and Matthew and Fiona Gairo.

Family and friends will gather for his visitation, Friday, September 09, 2022 from 10 a.m. until his funeral mass begins at 11 a.m. at Saint Christopher’s Church, 13301 Proctor Rd., Phila, PA 19116. The burial with military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
